Setting up Ford+Alexa is a simple process, especially if your vehicle has Ford Alexa Built-in. Within a matter of minutes, you can be up and running and asking: "Alexa, what's the traffic like on the San Diego Freeway?"

To set up Ford Alexa Built-in follow these steps:
  • Activate your FordPassâ„¢ Connect. (If you've already done this, skip to Step Two.)

  • Download the FordPassâ„¢ App and set up an account
  • Turn the vehicle off and tap "Add Vehicle" on the FordPassâ„¢ App
  • Scan or type in your vehicle's VIN on the FordPassâ„¢ App
  • Enter a name for your vehicle in the FordPassâ„¢ App
  • Tap "Activate Vehicle"
  • Start your vehicle and tap "Allow" on the vehicle's SYNC® screen
  • Agree to the Ford Terms and Conditions

  • Register Ford Alexa Built-in by tapping the Alexa icon on your vehicle's SYNC® 4 screen.

  • On the status information screen, select Amazon Alexa, then select "Yes" or "Get Started" to set up Alexa.

  • Sign in to your Amazon account by scanning the QR code, or you can sign in on your smart device at Amazon.com/code.

  • After you're logged in, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the Alexa registration for your vehicle.

  • (Optional) Tap "Yes" to activate the Alexa wake word on your vehicle's SYNC® 4 screen.
